Original Rough Trade import pressing of Galaxie 500’s highly regarded 1990 album ‘This Is Our Music’. Widely considered one of the band’s finest recordings, the album represents a landmark release in the development of dream pop, slowcore and independent alternative music.

Formed in Massachusetts, Galaxie 500 featured Dean Wareham, Naomi Yang and Damon Krukowski. Their atmospheric sound, understated performances and hypnotic guitar textures became enormously influential on later generations of indie and alternative artists.

This album includes notable tracks such as ‘Fourth of July’, ‘Hearing Voices’, ‘Spook’, ‘Summertime’, ‘Way Up High’, ‘Listen, The Snow Is Falling’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Melt Away’ and ‘King of Spain Part Two’. The band’s cover of Yoko Ono’s ‘Listen, The Snow Is Falling’ remains one of the album’s standout moments.

The record was released by the influential Rough Trade label and remains a highly respected title among collectors of alternative and independent music from the late 1980s and early 1990s.
