Original Australian promotional pressing of the self-titled album ‘Max Q’, released in 1989 by the Australian collaborative project formed by INXS frontman Michael Hutchence and producer/composer Ollie Olsen.

Max Q stands as one of the more adventurous side projects of Hutchence’s career, moving away from straight rock into a more atmospheric and experimental blend of alternative rock, electronic production, dance rhythms and art-pop influences. The album includes tracks such as ‘Sometimes’, ‘Way Of The World’, ‘Ghost Of The Year’, ‘Concrete’, ‘Buckethead’ and ‘Monday Night By Satellite’, and remains a sought-after release among collectors of Australian alternative music, INXS-related material and late-1980s electronic rock.
