LOT060 Pair of Vintage Whisky Advertising Water Jugs – Ballantine’s & Whyte & Mackay

Collection of two vintage ceramic whisky advertising water jugs comprising a Ballantine’s ‘The Superb Scotch’ ceramic jug and a taller Whyte & Mackay Scotch Whisky example featuring the ‘Doubly Matured, Singularly Smooth’ slogan. Both pieces were produced by Wade PDM England and retain maker’s marks to the bases. The Ballantine’s jug features the brand’s heraldic crest and classic white-glazed presentation, while the Whyte & Mackay example displays the famous twin lions logo and elegant cylindrical form. These promotional bar pieces were commonly supplied to pubs, hotels and whisky venues and are now sought after as breweriana and whisky memorabilia.
