A matched pair of framed licensed art reproductions from the Art Gallery of South Australia. The first piece, ‘The Priestess of Delphi’ by John Collier (1891), showcases the iconic symbol of prophecy from British classicist art. The second, ‘Circe Invidiosa’ by J.W. Waterhouse (1892), depicts the famed sorceress pouring a magical potion. Both prints were produced in 1997 in conjunction with van Gastel and Bartlett Merchandising Pty Ltd and retain their original gallery copyright labels on the reverse. Present beautifully with ornate antique-style frames and double matting. Ideal decorative pieces for lovers of Pre-Raphaelite and classical Victorian art.
